Khakra or Whole Wheat Crackers
I’m a huge fan of khakras. I have always had the store bought ones and thought they are impossible to make at home. I was totally wrong. They are pretty time consuming but totally worth it. I packed some khakras for Tara during our recent holiday. They stay good for a month.

Ingredients:
1. 1 cup whole wheat flour
2. Oil to shallow fry
3. Salt to taste
4. Paprika to taste. I added 2 tbsp
5. 3 tbsp dried fenugreek
6. 3 tbsp sesame seeds
7. 1 tbsp fresh garlic paste
Method:
1. Mix all the ingredients except oil and make a non sticky dough with water.
2. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
3. Divide the dough into balls and roll each ball into a very thin circle
4. Pop them one by one on a pan. Once one side is dry, flip over and press with a tea towel to prevent air bubbles forming. Turn the other side and press again. When it’s slightly hard and cooked, apply oil, remove from pan and store in a container.
5. Repeat the process. Once done, store it in an air tight container and enjoy for a month.
