Mint and Peas Pulav

Mint pulav is my daughter’s favourite lunch. Okay lots of favourites but this tops the list because she easily has 3 helpings, which is like way too good given the fact that she is a picky eater.


  1. 1-5 cups basmati rice, soaked in hot water for 15-30 mins
  2. 1 cup mint
  3. 1/4 cup peas
  4. 1 medium onion
  5. 3 cloves garlic
  6. 1 inch ginger
  7. Couple of green chillies
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Butter to cook


  1. Make a fine paste with mint, ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  2. Heat butter in a pan. Fry onions, peas and add the paste.
  3. Add some salt, basmati rice and cook until done.

Lunch and Dinner Rice
