Mint pulav is my daughter’s favourite lunch. Okay lots of favourites but this tops the list because she easily has 3 helpings, which is like way too good given the fact that she is a picky eater.
- 1-5 cups basmati rice, soaked in hot water for 15-30 mins
- 1 cup mint
- 1/4 cup peas
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- Couple of green chillies
- Salt to taste
- Butter to cook
- Make a fine paste with mint, ginger, garlic and green chillies.
- Heat butter in a pan. Fry onions, peas and add the paste.
- Add some salt, basmati rice and cook until done.
